Installed a new router at home, now Netgear extender is not working

As the time is progressing, different technologies are being evolved. As a result, different routers and extenders have different features and specifications. Sometimes, we are using a router at our home from quite a long time due to which it lacks many latest and advance features or sometimes we are no satisfied with the performance of our Wi-Fi router and we simply replace it with a new home wifi router. But, when we try to use our existing Netgear wireless range extender with the new router, it does not work. The Netgear wireless range extender stops working.
# Why it’s not working?
As we were using the Netgear wireless range extender with our old home Wi-Fi router, it was setup according to settings on the old Wi-Fi router. As now, we have installed a new router, the Netgear wireless range extender does not know nothing about the settings on our new router. So, if we wish to use our Netgear wireless range extender with our new home Wi-Fi router, we have to setup the Netgear wireless range extender according to settings on our newly installed home wifi router at our home.
# Using the web browser setup again
To setup the Netgear wireless range extender again, we could connect it to our computer with the help of an Ethernet cable. Then, we have to open any web browser on our computer and we have to put www.mywifiext.net on the address bar of that bursar. After putting www.mywifiext.net on the address bar, we have to search for it. After searching, we would be on a screen which will ask us to login into our Netgear account. Once, will be logged in, we have to click on setup option. After that we have just have to follow few steps and after couple of minutes the Netgear wireless range extender will start working.
# WPS could also be used
We could also setup the Netgear wireless range extender with the new router by using the web browser setup (WPS). But, before that we have reset the Netgear wireless range extender. To reset the Netgear wireless range extender, we just have to press the reset button at the side of it. After resting the Netgear wireless range extender, it would comeback to factory defaults and would be just like a new extender. Then, we just have to press the WPS button on our home Wi-Fi router and the Netgear wireless range extender. Then, it will take some time to complete the setup and after couple of minutes the Netgear wireless range extender will start working.
