In the
event that the auto firmware refresh for your Orbi satellite does not introduce
the firmware or if the GUI shows "Please pause," you may need to
physically refresh the firmware on your Orbi satellite.
To
physically refresh the firmware on your Orbi satellite, follow the below steps:

Verify whether your Orbi switch and
satellite are running the updated firmware variant (you can do it, by opening
up web browser and type in mywifiext.net)
·
Now refresh the firmware on your Orbi
satellite, if necessary.
To check
the firmware rendition of your Orbi switch and satellite:
·
Open up internet browser from a
Personal computer or desktop or cell phone that is associated with your Orbi
arrange.
·
Enter http:/orbilogin.com or mywifiext.net or the IP address of the Orbi range booster.
·
Once the mywifiext.net page has come
up on your screen enter the user name and log in passphrase.
·
Note: The client name is
administrator. Enter the secret key that you made during the initial set up of
your Orbi satellite range booster. The client name and secret phrase are case
sensitive
·
Mywifiext.net or the default IP that
you have put in will take you to the configuration page of your Orbi range
booster.
·
You can see the following options, proceed
with the steps accordingly
·
Advanced > Administration >
Firmware Update.
·
The Firmware Update page shows.
Verify
whether your Orbi switch and satellite are running the most recent firmware
variant, which you can do it either by visiting the official website by
providing your Orbi range booster model number
To
physically refresh the firmware on your Orbi satellite:
·
Download the firmware for your Orbi range
booster from mywifiext.net or official website.
·
If you are using mywifiext.net, you
will find a link for the Orbi range booster firmware update.
·
Tap the Manual Update tab.
·
You will see a firmware update option.
·
Either you can manually enter the
model number of your Orbi unit or you can select the check box by your
satellite's model name.
·
Tap the Update catch.
·
The Orbi satellite Firmware Update
window opens.
·
You might be prompted to enter the
administrator secret word, enter a similar secret key you entered for the Orbi
switch (while creating the account during the set up in mywifiext.net set up
link).
·
Move your cursor to Browse segment, at
that point find and select the record that closes in .img or .chk on your computer
or the laptop(whichever you are using)
·
Now select the UPLOAD option to
transfer the firmware document.
·
It takes a couple of minutes to finish
the procedure.
·
After your Orbi satellites completes
the process of refreshing, click on Status and ensure that the firmware form on
the Status page coordinates the firmware form on the NETGEAR Support page or
mywifiext.net page. The firmware on your Orbi satellite is refreshed.
